Looking for a European study abroad program in business? Want to improve your Spanish dramatically while learning from engaging professors and enjoying getting to know the Spanish culture?

This summer the School of Economics of the Universidad de Navarra is proud to present a 5-week course designed to give you a 360 degree view of How to do Business in Europe and also jumpstart your Spanish skills, enabling you be able to have an edge not only in Spain but also in all of Spanish-speaking Latin and South America.

The course will include company visits to practically use both the business knowledge you will obtain while here and also the Spanish skills you will develop. It will be held on the campuses of San Sebastian and Pamplona.

  • Program Details

    Course Organization:

    The 2016 "Summer Course" will be held from May 25th – June 24th featuring two modules. 

    Module 1: Business Courses. These will be held on the Pamplona Campus of the Universidad de Navarra. All courses will be taught in English.

    Module 2: Spanish Language and Culture Course. These courses will be held on a combination of the San Sebastian and Pamplona Campuses and will be taught in Spanish. These courses will feature several cultural visits and events. Transportation to and from all events will be provided.

    Room and Board:

    All housing will be provided for in high quality residence halls on the campuses.They will be separated by gender and have flexible hours.

    While in San Sebastian, students will stay at Olarain University Residence while in Pamplona they will stay at Riquelme University Residence.

    Excellent Spanish cuisine, pintxos (tapas), and other food will also be available on various meal plans. Pricing is available on the course fees page.

  • Application Form

    Deadline for application and payment is April 25th. Early bird prices available until March 15th.

  • Coursework

    The first module (business) will feature a combination of seminars and site visits, with a final evaluation at the end.

    Exchange rates, import / export duties 

    Game theory of doing business in Europe

    Performance of the European Economy

    International Marketing in a multicultural environment

    Economics and Ethics of Workers Rights

    Investment in LATAM

    Corporate Reputation and Sustainability in Europe

    Competition Policy in Europe

    *Seminar topics and professors are a provisional list.

    The second module will be organized in conjunction with the University of Navarra's Institute for Spanish Language and Culture (ILCE). This portion will span three weeks, and include their curriculum.

    All students will be asked to take an online evaluation to determine their Spanish level. Multiple levels will be offered, therefore we encourage all students of all Spanish levels to join us.
