International Seminar "Urban Open Spaces. Landscape as Design Practice in Contemporary Historical Towns"
The course will focus on a particular study case: the Baluarte of Parma in Pamplona with the objective of building a Project for the future of this place.
Academic activities will consist on theory classes, visits to the location of the space, talks with other fields specialist (archaeologists, historians) and work on the studio.
Students will work on groups. Each group will focus on a single aspect of the Project and should present a proposal for action/ transformation of the place that covers all the complexity of an urban projects.
Groups should choose one of the topics proposed:
Cultivation and terrain
The art and the exposition
The Woods and the vegetal architecture
Architecture and temporariness
Socialization and emptiness
Limits and sense of relationships.
