The ATLANTES project will launch a course on data collection in qualitative research

The ATLANTES project at the Institute for Culture and Society, along with the Medicine and Bioethics Education Unit of the Navarra School of Medicine, will organize a course entitled Data collection within qualitative research methodologies. Above all, the program aims to promote basic knowledge of qualitative research, understanding the underlying principles and developing the necessary skills for data collection. The course will take place on February 26, 27 and 28 and the deadline for registration is February 20.

The course will expound upon the importance of qualitative research for education, research and clinical management and it will analyze the basics of the main methodologies, including: ethnography, phenomenology, narrative and theory backed by data.

The following speakers will teach the course: Carole Robinson, a professor at the University of British Columbia (Canada) and a visiting scholar within the ATLANTES program; Mary Arantzamendi, professor within the Navarra School of Nursing and an ATLANTES research fellow; Olga López, professor within the Navarra School of Nursing; and sociologist José Miguel Carrasco, who is also an ATLANTES research fellow.
