ICS has earned accreditation from the Consejo Navarro de Cultura (Navarra Council of Culture) as a project of social interest and object of patronage
ICS received the MECNA seal under the Cultural Patronage Law
The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) has been accredited by the Navarra Council of Culture with the MECNA seal of social interest, with which ICS is declared of social interest and subject to patronage according to the Regional Cultural Patronage Act.
The Boletín Oficial de Navarra- BON (Official Navarra Gazette) presented the list of 90 projects and accredited cultural activities in its January 16 issue. Of these, 32 are projects and cultural activities and 58 are programs- type of projects or cultural activities. At the University of Navarra, this recognition has also been bestowed on the Library, the Cultural Activities department and the Museum.
In its assessment, the Council took into account, among other things, the social relevance of the project or activity, the impact on tangible and intangible cultural heritage, linguistic diversity, fostering artistic creation, supporting new artists, the relationship with innovative languages, training, participation, dissemination, creating new audiences, development of ICT, external promotion, and the relationship between the budget and the impact generated by the project or activity.
Tax advantages for patronsThanks to the accreditation, ICS patrons will benefit from significant tax advantages. Specifically, individuals will receive an 80% personal income tax deduction on the first 150 euros donated and 40% on any amount over that. Businesses will deduct the amount taxable from the corporate income tax (generally, donations are not a deductible expense) and a deduction of 30% of the net amount on the first 300 euros donated and 20% on any amount over that.
