The technology center will showcase in Bilbao the latest innovations in digitalization, sustainability and circular economy for the steel sector.

Ceit will participate in Steel Tech 2025, the leading international event in Southern Europe for the steel sector, which will take place from October 21 to 23 at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre (BEC). During the congress and exhibition, the technology center will present the latest solutions developed to boost the digital and sustainable transition of the steel industry, in a space that will bring together the main stakeholders of the value chain and foster knowledge transfer, technological innovation and networking.

With over four decades of experience working alongside steel companies, Ceit has consolidated its role as a reference technology partner in the design of R&D projects aimed at expanding knowledge, driving technical advances and optimizing industrial processes. Its research focuses on key areas such as plant digitalization, the development of advanced products, and the implementation of sustainable services and technologies that enhance the sector’s competitiveness.

Comprehensive solutions for an advanced steel industry

Ceit will showcase a portfolio of solutions ranging from the design of sustainable steels, microalloyed and stainless steels, and the production of tailor-made experimental ingots, to the energy optimization of rolling and forging processes. In addition, it will present advances in zero-defect production, technologies for the hydrogen economy, and innovations in industrial digitalization, such as AI applied to inspection, collaborative robotics, digital twins, IoT, big data analytics and augmented reality to enhance efficiency, sustainability and competitiveness in the sector.

In this edition, Ceit will also present new developments related to circular economy, industrial water treatment and component repair through laser cladding, technologies that address the growing need for sustainability in the steel industry.
