The University of Navarra celebrates this Saturday 21st a new edition of the Sports Day

More than 5,000 people and more than 65 different activities are expected for all audiences, including an escape room

Next Saturday 21, the University of Navarra celebrates the XXVI edition of the Sports Day. The sports facilities will become the setting of different sports competitions, endurance tests, ingenuity, musical and children's performances; and also, there will be a space for solidarity. A meeting open to all audiences, in which more than 5,000 people are expected and in which 65 activities have been organized.

For the first time, there will be an escape room test, in which the objective of the game will be to reveal the secret identity of five members of an organization and overcome the logical tests that protect a secret “power”. For this, participants will only have the help of their luggage. Three sessions will take place in the morning, at 11, 12 and 1pm hours; and two other sessions in the afternoon, at 4pm and 5pm. A maximum of 25 participants, which must be over 18 years old, has been established per session (5 teams with 5 players each).

Attendees can enjoy other activities, such as the second edition of Gladiators Day, an obstacle race, with loads, trawls, crawls, walls, balances, etc. Also, the Great Challenge, in which groups of university students will face each other in different team tests until reaching the final. Other activities included are squash, paddle, volleyball, 3x3 soccer, and golf tournaments and a photography contest sponsored by Ford Irusa.

The official presentation of this edition of Sports Day will be held next Thursday at 11 am in the sports center, where the rest of the program will be detailed.

Solidarity tests

Solidarity activities include a Zumba Marathon and the Holi Cross Coe race.

With the Zumba Master Solidarity Marathon, participants will be supporting childhood cancer research through the Children Against Cancer Foundation of the University of Navarra Clinic. For each of the people enrolled in this activity, the Sports service of the University of Navarra will allocate a euro for the fight against childhood cancer.

On the other hand, the second edition of the Holi Cross Coe will fill the campus with color with the launch of colored powders. This race will be used to finance the Oncology Congress for Students, organized by the students of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Navarra and whose objective is to promote research for the cure of cancer.
