The University improves in international outlook and research in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022

The University is 4th in Spain and is ranked between 251-300, among the best universities in the world

The University of Navarra has improved in four of the five indicators of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022, which includes more than 1,600 universities worldwide. Compared to last year, it has improved in research (+1.4%), citations (+1.8%), industry income (+2.5%) and international outlook (+2.2%).

The University of Navarra is first in Spain in both international outlook and research income per professor. The ranking places the University of Navarra in the 251-300 range and in fourth position in Spain (out of 52 ranked in this edition). The top three Spanish universities are Catalan public universities: Pompeu Fabra, Autónoma de Barcelona and University of Barcelona.

This year´s ranking included survey responses from almost 22,000 academics, analyzed more than 108 million citations across over 14.4 million research publications from the last five years. THE World University Ranking compared more than 2,100 universities from over 99 countries around the world, with 1,600 meeting the minimum requirements to receive a rank.

In this ranking, Times Higher Education analyzes the performance of universities in five areas: teaching, research, citations, industry income and international outlook.

Pilar Lostao, Vice President for International Relations at the University of Navarra, highlighted the work of the University's academics and professionals to improve research and internationalization and was pleased that THE rankings recognize this effort. "The improvement in these indicators is an incentive to continue working for the quality of research and the international dimension of our campuses," she said.
