Since the doctoral program was established, its organization has always been consistent with its objectives. The general and specific objectives of the Doctoral Degree in Education and Psychology are as follows:
To train new researchers in the various fields of the educational sciences.
To create and strengthen teams of professors and doctoral students who work in accordance with well-defined lines of research and fields of interest.
To promote the training of new university professors who specialize in the different subjects that make up the educational sciences, with a special focus on the skills and competences specific to university professors.
The provisions of Article 5 of RD 99/2011 pledge that doctoral students will acquire basic competences, abilities and/or personal skills, as well as specific competences associated with the program.
The Doctoral Degree in Education, in accordance with the provisions of Article 5 of RD 99/2011, guarantees that doctoral students will acquire basic competences, abilities and/or personal skills, as well as certain specific competences associated with the experimental work that forms part of their doctoral thesis project, depending on the line of research that frames it.
