What is it?
A material transfer agreement (MTA) is an agreement to regulate the transfer and use of one or more research materials that a researcher from the University of Navarra or the Clínica Universidad de Navarra receives from a company.
Features
The material used is for the researcher's own internal research purposes, and not for commercial purposes.
The agreement is established between the Research Management Service and the company; never with the principal investigator.
How it works
In order to undertake such an agreement, the researcher or the Research Management Service contacts the company to request the material to be transferred.
The company sends its contract, which defines the conditions of the agreement, and the Research Management Service analyzes it.
When the parties have reached a consensus on the wording of the agreement, they sign it.
