Mariano Crespo, a research fellow at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra, will conduct a three-month research stay at the Phenomenology Research Center of Southern Illinois University.

Crespo, a member of the theoretical subproject Practical Reason, Emotions and Identity within the Emotional Culture and Identity project, which is funded by Zurich Insurance, will work on the project entitled ‘Bondness and personal identity: A phenomenological perspective' at the Illinois campus.

The stay is financed by the Program for research stays conducted by professors and senior researchers at foreign institutions of higher education and research in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, included in the State Plan for Scientific Research, Technology and Innovation for 2013-2016.

Crespo will be integrated as a Visiting Scholar in the Phenomenology Research Center and will participate in regular meetings held by the Phenomenology Research Group (PRG) and in the various activities organized by the center. In recent years, the center has hosted various visiting scholars, who have developed their own research through their participation in a project on emotions, led by Professor A.J. Steinbock.
