Instituto de Lengua y Cultura Españolas

Study in Spain this Summer

Open to Universidad de Navarra undergraduates and visiting students.

ILCE Summer courses can fulfill a range of curricular requirements and offer learners a genuine inmersion in Spanish culture. Excellent teachers from Universidad de Navarra's instructional staff and a selected instructors from other institutions comprise the faculty of the Summer Program.

Cultural activities, sports, and field trips are designed to enrich your academic and personal experience.

For reasons of health and safety, some of the summer courses will be offered online. The feedback from our 2020 virtual courses from students and faculty was overwhelmingly positive, and we look forward to another exciting and successful summer online in 2021.

  • Cultural program

Weekly co-curricular activities to enrich cultural immersion in Spain and to better understand the culture in the context of coursework. Students will have the opportunity to visit many influential sites, learn about the country's unique history, and become immersed in Spanish culture.

All trips and activities in and around Pamplona are led by Cultural Peer Mentors and are included in the program fee.

Cultural Peer Mentors are local undergrad students at Universidad de Navarra that always accompany the group to co-curricular activities, and also organize more activities depending on the interests of the students that year such as trekking around Pamplona, walking in the city, karaoke, coffee and conversation or sports activities.

  • Housing

Students may arrange their own housing or choose between the two options provided by the program:

    • Host Family

All families are Universidad de Navarra faculty, staff, or alumni. Students have their own room. Laundry and meals included. Lunch served from Monday to Friday at the university cafeteria. WIFI internet is available in all houses.

Public transport card is included in this option.

Host Families are limited. Applying earlier increases likelihood of being placed with a family.
