Study Law at the University of Navarra

If you are studying law outside Spain, you want to think about spending some time at the University of Navarra School of Law. Here you will study Spanish and European law in a practical and scholarly environment, with students from all parts of the World. We also have several legal programs taught entirely in English: the Anglo American Law Program in order to have a good grasp of the US legal system, taught by reputed professors from the best US law schools; the International Business Law Program, with courses covering most international business transactions and providing the skills to become a truly international business lawyer; and the Global Law Studies with seminars on foreign legal systems, comparative and current legal topics.

There is also the possibility of being admitted to our PHD program, which involves doing our own master of laws (MPHIL) and writing a dissertation. For more information, please contact Jerusalén Elío.

Erasmus exchange scholarships are intended to help professors and students perform studies abroad, and offer opportunities for strengthening relationships with European centers of study. The general objective is to promote the mobility of students as well as collaboration in the area of higher education. The Universities that have Erasmus agreements with the University of Navarra are the following: Universität Innsbruck, Universität Salzburg, Université de Paris XII Val de Marne, Université Paris X Nanterre, University of Joensuu, Università degli Studi di Milano, Università degli Studi di Firenze, Università degli Studi di Roma "Tor Vergata", Mykolas Romeris University, Universidade de Coimbra, Universidade Católica Portuguesa: Lisboa, Universidade de Lisboa, Universidade do Porto and Katolicki Uniwersytet Lubelski Jana Pawla II and more agreements that will be signed eventually.

Students interested in coming to the Universidad de Navarra should contact their own university first and then they will have to send to the Secretary of the Law School before 1 May (First Semester) and before 15th October (Second Semester) the following documments:

  • Application form

  • Curriculum vitae

  • 1 Scanned photograph

  • Photocopy of the Passport or Identity Card

  • Photocopy of the Student's Card

  • Certificate of the University showing the belonging of the student to that University.

Students interested in coming to the Universidad de Navarra for an exchange period, will notify their own univsersity. The Universities which have exchange agreements with the University of Navarra will nominate their candidates within the required period.

After this, the students will have to send to the secretary of the Law School before 1 May (First Semester) and before 15th October (Second Semester) the following documments:

  • Application form

  • Curriculum vitae

  • 1 Scanned photograph

  • Photocopy of the Passport or Identity Card

  • Photocopy of the Student's Card

  • Certificate of the University showing the exchange conditions in your University.

If you are a PhD or JSD student outside Spain, you want to think about spending some time doing research, at the University of Navarra School of Law. Our Visiting Scholar Program allows you to make use of our wonderful library and well equipped facilities. You will also be able to share your ideas with our Faculty and Visiting Faculty in a friendly and international environment.

In order to respond to the challenges presented by the new "globalized" society in the legal realm, the Garrigues Chair of the School of Law of the University of Navarra offers the VSP, which provides a framework for the free exchange of ideas and which promotes academic excellence. The program is directed by Professor Rafael Domingo.

The VSP is an exchange program open to professors and international graduate students who wish to carry out. Participants in the VSP may perform a research stay at the University of Navarra and collaborate in this way with scholars specialized in their area of study. The areas of research include:
