Clemente highlighted the importance of business ethics and teamwork

The CEO of Merlin Properties, Ismael Clemente, takes part in a workshop in English with Project Management students. This event was organised by the School of Economics and the Asociación de Amigos de la Universidad de Navarra.
During the workshop, Clemente highlighted the importance of business ethics and teamwork. The president of the real estate company assures that the key to the success of his companies is the people that make up his team.
Regarding its business strategy, Merlin Properties' CEO explains that online trading and the upturn of industrial activity in Spain generated a new trend consisting in the investment of assets associated with the field of logistics. A field that, according to him, is more profitable and has fewer competitors.
The president of Merlin Properties has managed to persuade international funds to invest in the recovery of Spain and he has also executed a number of acquisitions that led to t Santander and BBVA becoming main shareholders of his real estate company.
Ismael Clemente has been elected as Businessperson of the Year 2017 since he managed, in just three years, to turn Merlin Properties into one of the major real estate groups listed in the IBEX-35.
Clemente, born in Badajoz in 1970, has a degree in Law and Business. After leaving Deutsche Bank, in 2014, he created Merlin Properties, a real estate company specialising in the service sector (malls, business and logistics).
Clemente, married and a father-of-six, believes that his life can be described as an organised chaos, but he assures that he is able to balance his work and his family life.
