Alejandro G. Vigo, main researcher of the project Natural Law and Practical Rationality' at the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) and professor in the Faculty of Philosophy, has been named board member of the Center for Public Studies in Santiago de Chile. This is one of the 30 most influential think-tanks in the world, as ranked by the Foreign Policy Research Institute (Pennsylvania, USA).

The CEP was founded in 1980. It is a private non-profit foundation, dedicated to academic and public issues. The purpose of this organization is the study and dissemination of values, principles and institutions that serve as the foundation for a free society.

The CEP intends to fulfill functions dedicated to guiding public opinion and decision making, through an explicit commitment to personal freedom, property rights and democracy as a peaceful and stable government form.

Professor Vigo is a graduate and Ph.D in Philosophy, with mention in Greek Studies and Romance Languages. He combines his work in the ICS with teaching and researching for the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Navarra. He has also worked at several universities in Argentina and Chile, including the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and the University of Andes (Chile). He has also been a visiting researcher at the University of Heidelberg (Alemania), Universität Münster (Munster, Germany) Universität Luzern (Switzerland) and Universität Halle-Wittenberg (Germany).
