Igor López studied Biology at the University of Navarra and later on, he took the Master's Degree in Biomedical Research. Today, he is preparing his PhD at the Radboud Umc University Medical Center in Holland. His research is based in the immunological system of the human being.

"While I was studying my Master I looked for financial aid and as the situation was complicated in Spain, I decided to try abroad". "Fortunately, I got a positive answer from the Netherlands very soon and after some interviews I was accepted so I finally got a research position even before finishing my Master's Degree".

Igor López research is based in the immunological system. "The immunological system is formed by an adaptive part, capable of fighting against harming elements for the body and of remembering that fight. And, by the innate immunity, that is the first line to fight those harmful elements. However, scientists have proved that this first line can also learn from previous ‘fights'".
