Mentoring

The support and guidance that students receive once they have enrolled in the Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies are provided through a personalized academic mentoring service.

The Master’s Program Board of Management is available to resolve any academic or administrative problems students may have over the course of the academic year. At the start of the academic year, the Master’s Program Board of Management will assign a tutor to each student. This tutor may differ from the person responsible for supervising the student’s Master’s Thesis Project. He or she will also be the student’s academic advisor throughout the program.

The aim of personalized academic mentoring is to improve students’ academic performance, help them integrate into university life and contribute to their cultural, human and professional education. Among other aspects, tutors are responsible for advising students on the methodology of their intellectual work and on other training activities available at the University (social, cultural, sporting activities, etc.), as well as offering them guidance on decisions regarding their professional future (doctoral studies, first job, etc.).

The personalized attention given to students, who play a leading role in their own education, affects the structure and size of the Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies; the number of students admitted depends on the capacity to meet each student’s individual needs.

The students will also have access to mentoring from the Board of Management of the Master’s Degree in Curatorial Studies at any time, as well as continuous support from the administrative and service personnel responsible for managing the master’s program. Their contact details will be provided at the start of the academic year.
