Mind-Brain: Biology and Subjectivity in Philosophy and Contemporary Neuroscience

This project studies subjectivity through the collaboration of contemporary philosophy and biology (particularly neuroscience). Centering on the study of action, Mind-Brain also studies the relationship between action and cognition, as well as the identity of the agent.

Through the questions posed by neuroscience, the Mind-Brain project seeks to establish a dialogue between the various traditions of contemporary philosophical thought (phenomenology, analytic philosophy, Aristotelianism, philosophical anthropology, etc.) Stimulated by the realism of the sciences, this dialogue is meant to overcome the relativist and skeptical temptations that threaten philosophical thought and, in so doing, integrate the latest advances in biology into a holistic vision of man.
