Aware of the need to train professionals with a global capacity, #MedUNAV offers specific itineraries with its International Program. In addition, the Medical School offers students academic exchanges and clinical rotations with the most renowned medical institutions in the world such as Columbia University, Mayo Clinic, Boston University, Heidelberg, and the National University of Taiwan.
The individualized attention to the student is the main focus. It is a fundamental characteristic of the Medical School. Starting in the first year, students have an academic advisor. In the third year, students are assigned a clinical tutor, which helps them to achieve their practical training objectives.
Starting in the first year, #MedUNAV students acquire clinical competencies through practical subjects that are developed in the Simulation Center and with eight months of internships in our teaching hospitals and regional health centers. The curriculum includes methodologies such as problem-based learning, the case method, laboratory practices, and seminars or on-site training through Summer Courses.
The School focuses particularly on a comprehensive humanistic education. The syllabus includes humanities subjects such as General and Professional Ethics and Anthropology, intended to get students interested in the most fundamental questions of human existence. In addition, cultural sessions are organized every year on literature, history, music and other areas of knowledge.
