Ana Carvajal Valcárcel - Area Coordinator - Universidad de Navarra

Ana Carvajal ValcárcelAna Carvajal Valcárcel is an associate professor at the University of Navarra's School of Nursing. She graduated with a degree in Nursing from the University of Navarra in 1993. She completed a Master's Degree in Nursing Sciences at the University of Glasgow (Scotland) in 2000 and a Doctoral Degree in Nursing at the University of Sheffield (England) in 2010. Her doctoral dissertation addressed the validation of a tool for evaluating the physical and psychological symptoms of patients with advanced cancer. She currently teaches in the Oncology and Palliative Care degree program and in the Evidence-Based Nursing and Palliative Care postgraduate program.

Cristina García-Vivar - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

Cristina García-VivarCristina García-Vivar is a professor in the School of Nursing. She graduated with a degree in Nursing from the University of Navarra in 2000 and completed her Master's Degree in Nursing and her Doctoral Degree in Nursing at the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) in 2002 and 2007, respectively. She is currently the Associate Dean for Research in the School of Nursing. She is also an International Family Nursing Association board member. She teaches family and community nursing and qualitative research methodology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is an expert in grounded theory.

Ana Canga Armayor - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

Ana Canga Armayor

Ana Canga Armayor earned a Diploma in Nursing in 1989 and a Degree in Pedagogy in 2004, both from the University of Navarra. In 1997, she completed a Master's Degree in Nursing Administration and Management at the Universitat de Barcelona. In 2011, she earned a Doctoral Degree in Education from the University of Navarra. She is a professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Navarra, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate subjects in the areas of aging, family nursing and qualitative research methodology.

Nuria Esandi Larramendi - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

Nuria Esandi LarramendiNuria Esandi Larramendi is a senior assistant professor in the School of Nursing. She earned a Diploma in Nursing in 2007 and a Master's Degree in Nursing Science in 2009, both from the University of Navarra. In 2015, she earned a Doctoral Degree in Nursing from the University of Sheffield. She currently teaches undergraduate subjects in the areas of aging and family nursing. She also helps manage the internships of students enrolled in the Master's Program in Advanced Practice and Management in Nursing. Her research focuses on nursing care for patients with dementia and the family as a unit of care, especially the identification and approach to family processes that take place alongside Alzheimer's disease, from a systematic family perspective.

Begoña Errasti Ibarrondo - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

Begoña ErrastiMaría Begoña Errasti Ibarrondo is a senior assistant professor in the School of Nursing. She earned a Diploma in Nursing from the University of Navarra in 2006. She is a specialist in intensive care nursing at the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, where she worked from 2007 to 2013. She earned a Master's Degree in Advanced Nursing Practice and Research in 2011 and a Doctoral Degree in Nursing in 2015, both from the University of Navarra. Her doctoral dissertation addressed the significance of the interpersonal relationship between nurses and patients from the lived experience of a person with advanced-phase terminal cancer. Her dissertation made use of Max van Manen's hermeneutic phenomenological method, an area in which she continues to do research.

María Victoria Navarta Sánchez - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

María Victoria Navarta SánchezMaría Victoria Navarta Sánchez is a senior assistant professor at the University of Navarra's School of Nursing. She graduated with a degree in Nursing from the Universidad de Málaga in 2008. She completed her Master's Degree in Nursing Sciences and her Doctoral Degree in Nursing Sciences at the University of Navarra in 2010 and 2015, respectively. In her doctoral dissertation, she carried out a mixed-methodology study to determine the relationship between the factors implicit in the psychosocial adaptation to illness and to design a multidisciplinary intervention that would improve life for patients affected by Parkinson's disease and their family caretakers.

Leire Ambrosio Gutiérrez - Facultad de Enfermería - Universidad de Navarra

Leire Ambrosio GutiérrezDiplomada en Enfermería por la Universidad del País Vasco (2011), Máster en Investigación y Rol Avanzado por la Universidad de Navarra (2012) y Doctor en Enfermería por la Universidad de Navarra (2016). Actualmente, es Profesor Ayudante Doctor y desarrolla su docencia en grado y postgrado. Su área de investigación está centrada en procesos crónicos. Concretamente, se centra en investigar la Convivencia de pacientes y familiares con diversas enfermedades crónicas, a través del desarrollo de instrumentos e intervenciones individualizadas.
