Transition to adulthood of Roman young people in Navarra

Presentation

The "Transition to adult life for young people from the Romany community in Navarre" project began in September 2016, in the School of Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra involving professors Araceli Arellano (Main Researcher), Sarah Carrica, Feli Peralta, María Ángeles Sotés and Charo Repáraz. This research team is also working closely with Gaz Kaló, the Federation of Roma Associations Gaz Kaló in Navarra.

This project started out as an attempt to look in greater depth at educational experiences for Romany boys and girls and their families. This population has been excluded from the system for a long time and still faces major challenges to achieve success and fairness in the field of education.
