Studying Sciences at the University of Navarra

    

  • The School of Sciences at the University of Navarra is the third-oldest in Spain to train Biology students and is a pioneer in establishing a program of study in Biochemistry.

  • During the 2012-2013 academic year, graduate students in the School of Sciences defended a total of 40 doctoral dissertations, the highest number in all of the University of Navarra

  • 70% of the researchers in the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA) have studied Sciences and 80% are graduates of our School.

  • Nearly 65% of recent recipients of the Nobel Prize in Medicine completed a degree program in the Sciences.

  • In the last two years of the degree program, you can obtain one of the specialization diplomas, which offer a more in-depth account of the most sought-after areas of Chemistry, Biology and Biomedicine.

  • The Research Training Program is a specific program of the School of Sciences that enables students to carry out an experimental research project within the degree program and prepare and defend it before a committee entirely in English (video).

  • Students in the School of Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, and the Double Degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry) will defend a Final Year Project, supervised by a University professor and defended publicly before a committee, to put into practice the knowledge they acquire during the degree program.   • 44% of our students receive some kind of scholarship or financial aid to complete their studies.

  • The School of Sciences has excellent facilities and instruments to carry out practical components throughout the program of study.

  • The student-teacher ratio is 4:3, which allows for personalized attention in theory training and practical components.

  • The School of Sciences offers personalized services through the Careers Office to support and guide students as they enter the job market.
