En línea con las políticas de la Unión Europea, la Universidad sigue firmemente comprometida con la movilidad cara a cara. Por lo tanto, ha decidido mantener sus programas de intercambio en el año académico 2021-2022, tanto para estudiantes de la Universidad de Navarra (estudiantes salientes) como para estudiantes provenientes de nuestras universidades asociadas (estudiantes entrantes).

The International Relations Service of the School of Architecture promotes exchange agreements with universities abroad to facilitate the mobility of students while studying at the University. The exchange programs are carried out in the first semester of 5th year and have a duration of between 4 and 6 months.

Living abroad allows the student to train professionally and personally to work in a global environment, getting to know some of the best universities, living in a different culture, and improving their knowledge of a foreign language. The exchange program is an opportunity for the students of the School of Architecture. Still, there are some general conditions to be able to go for this experience. 

  • When can I go abroad?

    Exchanges can be undertaken during the following academic years:

    • Degree in Architectural Studies: Spring Semester 4º year.

    • Degree in Design (2018 - 2019): Spring Semester 3º year.

  • Application Requirements

    The student must:

    1. Not be enrolled in any subject of other courses in the period of the application.

    2. Proof of language level and GPA required depends on the destination.

    3. Pass all the subjects of the current course during the exchange request.

    4. Attend the information session, next September.

    5. Apply within the established period.

    6. Not having previously enjoyed an aid for the same purpose within the framework of the Erasmus + program.

    7. Request a destination within those available for the minor that is taken.

  • How to choose my destination?

    There is a destination for each student, not all destinations are for everyone. So please you should carefully look for the best destination that covers your interests. Keep in mind when choosing your preferred destinations:

    • The academic calendar of the host university. There may be an incompatibility, especially during the exam period.

    • The GPA required by the host university, if you do not have the minimum grade required look for another option.

    • The language needed to study abroad. Each university requires a language certificate with a specific score. You must have sufficient proficiency to be able to study in that language.

    • The minors program (menciones) are key when choosing a destination, otherwise, you may not take subjects in your area and, therefore, they will not be validated upon return of the exchange.

  • How much does it cost?

    The cost of an overseas study period varies depending on a number of factors that should be taken into account when choosing a destination:

    • Location: the cost of living in the host country, whether it is a large or small city, the cost of flights, the cost of urban transport, etc.

    • Duration: the longer the stay, the lower the day-to-day costs will be.

    • Housing: some housing options are cheaper than others.

    • Activities: taking part in extracurricular academic activities or activities organized by the city works out cheaper than traveling in your spare time. This also enables you to learn about the local culture and make contacts at the university and in the city.

    There is a financial aid within a stay at a European university because it can be funded through an Erasmus+ scholarship. For a stay outside Europe (and within Europe), grants are available from regional governments, banks, etc.

    Overseas study periods do not carry any additional registration fees. Enrollment is carried out at the University of Navarra, not the host university.

  • Regulations of the School

    The exchange requires a high level of autonomy. By not delivering the required documentation within the established deadlines can lead to not going overseas. Please, it is very important to review the ADD Documents: Before, During, and After mobility.
