Eight international researchers aspire to join the ICS next academic year with a Marie Curie fellowship from the European Commission

Seven candidates participated in a meeting to get to know the University of Navarra, the Institute for Culture and Society, their future supervisor and associated research group

Eight international researchers are preparing their applications to join the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) at the University of Navarra for one or two years through the Marie Sklodowska Curie Actions (MSCA) Fellowship Program.

Seven candidates participated in a meeting at the University of Navarra held on May 31 and June 1 and organized by the Research Management Service. The meeting had a total of about thirty attendees.

On the 31st, an Infoday was held and open to the entire Navarra research community. One of the fellowship’s national contact points in Spain was present, as well as the three Marie Curie fellowship awardees who are currently developing projects at the ICS: Marco Demichelis, Sarali Gintsburg and Eleonora Esposito. The candidates visited the campus, got to know the Institute and discussed their proposals with other experts.

The following candidates are preparing their proposals together with the ICS:
  • Joshua Bergamin (United Kingdom): His project will be supervised by José Ignacio Murillo, principal investigator of the Mind-Brain Group

  • Olimpia Cali (Italy): Under the supervision of Alberto García, collaborator with the Emotional Culture and Identity project

  • Sara Hejazi (Iran/Italy): Her supervisor is Montserrat Herrero, principal investigator of the Religion and Civil Society project

  • Stefano Manganaro (Italy): His project will be supervised by Santiago Aurell, collaborator with the Religion and Civil Society project

  • Gianluca Pontrandolfo (Italy): He will carry out his project under the supervision of Ruth Breeze, co-principal investigator of the Public Discourse project

  • Ramón Portillo (Venezuela): He will be supervised by José López Guzmán, professor within the School of Pharmacy

  • Carla Reigada (Portugal): Her project will be supervised by Carlos Centeno, principal investigator of the ATLANTES Program

  • Paolo Valvo (Italy): He will develop his project under the supervision of Rafael García Pérez, collaborator with the Religion and Civil Society project
