The article presents an exploration into the historiography and hagiography of the 5th-century Scottish Christian figure of Saint Ninian. Arguments are made asserting that St. Ninian did not exist as a historical person. Topics addressed include an overview of references to Ninian from historians Charles Edwards, W.
