Resumen: The influence of the contactor angle, gas inlet
diameter, particle diameter, length of the draft tube and height
of the entrainment zone on the average cycle time in a novel
conical spouted bed dryer with a draft tube has been analyzed
by a two-level factorial experimental design to optimize the
drying process at low temperature. The effect of these factors
has been determined by a statistical analysis. An empirical
correlation to calculate average cycle time in a novel conical
spouted bed dryer with a draft tube has been proposed.
