The eight lines of research available in the doctoral program are presented below, along with their associated research teams and information on each member of the team:

 Normal development of language, language impairment and communication

 Relationships between cognition and motivation: self-regulated learning

 Dealing with the special educational needs of people with disabilities

This aims to connect the Doctoral Program with on-going initiatives in the university centres. They are mainly developed in the Culture and Society Institute, a research centre that was set up after the former Program was verified. It is foreseeable that others will emerge, but as an example, the following topics might be mentioned: neurosciences and human subjectivity, psychology of language; emotional education and addiction treatment.
