The University of Navarra is 41st in the world in employability, according to the Global Employability Ranking and Survey (GEURS) 2021, prepared by the consulting firm Emerging for Times Higher Education. The University has risen four places and is ranked second in Spain in employability, out of seven Spanish universities that feature.

The ranking is compiled through surveys of managers and recruiters in international companies, more than 10,928 worldwide and from 23 countries. With the data from these surveys, 250 universities with the best employability from all over the world have been selected.

“We are very pleased with these results. They represent an endorsement of our project, to connect our students and graduates with professionals and leading international companies and collaborate in an environment of trust and influence, maximizing opportunities for success and personal and professional fulfillment. This result encourages us to continue leading to be catalysts for positive change in society," said the director of Career Services University of Navarra, Roberto Cabezas.

More than 4,000 internships and 900 job offers

During the 2020-21 academic year, Career Services managed 4,110 internships for students and graduates. A total of 900 job offers were registered. In addition, in November 2020 Career Services added a new platform to the job portal to facilitate contact between companies and graduates. During the past academic year, 408 companies posted a total of 1,697 job and internship offers. In addition, 751 new agreements were signed with employers, bringing the number of Company partners to 7,000.

These are some of the figures that are a result of the strategic plan promoted by Career Services which, as Roberto Cabezas explains, is structured in three areas: "Collaboration with leading companies in Spain and abroad; the development of employability training programs for undergraduate and graduate students, with an optimized and effective content structure; and, finally, personal counseling to students and alumni on employment issues to facilitate the first step into the labor market".
