The Institute for Culture and Society (ICS) of the University of Navarra has published the book Margaret S. Archer sobre cultura y socialización en la Modernidad Tardía (Margaret S. Archer on culture and socialization in late modernity) (EUNSA), edited by Ana Marta González, scientific coordinator of the ICS and principal investigator of the Emotional Culture and Identity project.

The volume has been prepared as a result of the first edition of the ICS Lectures on Humanities and Social Sciences, which the sociologist Margaret S. Archer delivered with the title "Culture and Socialization in Late Modernity." Professor Archer has developed her work at the University of Cambridge, the London School of Economics and the University of Warwick, as well as currently leads the From Modernity to Morphogenesis project in the College of Humanities at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne (Switzerland).

The book contains a text from Margaret S. Archer entitled, "Reconceptualizing Socialization as Relational Reflexivity," and commentaries from several University of Navarra researchers, including: "Reflexividad, identidad, socialización. Apuntes sobre Margaret S. Archer" (Reflexivity, identity, socialization. Notes on Margaret S. Archer) by Alejandro G. Vigo (Emotional Culture and Identity project); "The Classical Notion of Habit and the Social Effectivity of Reflexivity and Inner Conversation. A Commentary on Margaret Archer's Culture and Socialization in Late Modernity" by José Ignacio Murillo (Mind-Brain group); "Forjando una vida desde la familia: condiciones socioculturales y reflexividad humana" (Forging a life from the family: sociocultural and human reflexivity) Alexander N. Garcia (School of Humanities and Social Sciences); "Managing the Social and Moral Costs of a Culture of Choice" by David Thunder (Religion and Civil Society project); and "Socialization as Reflexive Engagement: a Radically Discursive Point of View" by Jan Zienkowski (Public Discourse project).

The ICS Lectures on Humanities and Social Sciences is an annual conference series organized by the Institute for Culture and Society (ICS). Given by internationally renowned researchers, the lectures aim to introduce the University of Navarra community and the general public to some of the topics that the different ICS projects work on.
