Dr Jesús San Miguel and Dr Bruno Paiva Recognized for Clinical Research in Hematology at Celgene's XIV International Awards
The prestigious company has recognized for the first time two Spanish professionals for their contribution to hematology.

The biotechnology company Celgene has, for the first time, in their XIV International Awards, honored to two Spanish specialists for their contribution in the field of hematology.
Dr Jesús San Miguel, director of Clinical and Translational Medicine at the Universidad de Navarra, obtained the Career Achievement prize in recognition of his long professional career, with over 700 international publications, 140 national publications and numerous books and contributions to books.
Dr. San Miguel is a member of the advisory committees of the European Hematology Association, the Leukemia Research Foundation, the International Myeloma Foundation, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation, Genoma España, the Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), the Instituto de Biomedicina de Sevilla (IBIS), and the Fundación Carreras y Pethema.
Bruno Paiva won the Future Leads in Hematology prize for his work in the field of hematology over the last few years. Dr. Paiva is a member of the department of hematology and immunology at the Centro de Investigación Médica Aplicada (CIMA), where he combines his work as researcher with his responsibility as director of the Flow Cytometry Core and as scientific coordinator for CIMA Lab Diagnostics. He is the author or co-author of several publications in scientific journals.
