International Students 2023/2024
#MedUNAV considers students international if they will complete the 2nd year of Baccalaureate (or equivalent) in an academic center based outside of Spain, regardless of nationality.
Candidates can apply to the Degree in Medicine or the Degree in Medicine + International Program with an accredited a final grade from 1st Baccalaureate (or equivalent) equal to or greater than 7 points out of 10.
The application must be completed through the Portal miUNAV within the established deadlines.
International students can select to apply with the BMAT exam, the University’s Exam #MedUNAV*, or with their IB score. Only one option is allowed.
Exceptionally, these students will be able to do the #MedUNAV admission test both in person in Pamplona, as well as online on April 29, 2023.
BMAT Exam
Candidates can find information about the test and register for the BMAT at Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing.
Exams dates that are acceptable for applying to the 2023/2024 academic year are the following:
• October 18, 2022
• March 4, 2023
Important: The Medical School will only accept one BMAT score, the first score that is shared with University of Navarra through BMAT’s web portal.
Admission Exam #MedUNAV on-site
All students who wish to apply to the School of Medicine at the University of Navarra must complete their application for admission through the Portal miUNAV before April 24, 2023.
After completing the admission application, the student must take the entrance exam. The test aims to evaluate candidates for successful completion of the Degree in Medicine or the Degree in Medicine + International Program.
The entrance test for the 2023/2024 course will be held online on Saturday, April 29, 2023.
The exam will only consist of an academic section and be multiple choice. The test will have a total of 150 questions for Biology, Chemistry and Physics and reading comprehension test.

• 70% Final score from the University of Navarra’s School of Medicine admission exam.
• 30% GPA from the official subjects of 1st Baccalaureate (or equivalent), taking into account the subjects are certified by the center where the studies were completed.
• In order to do the test, students will need the credential number they have received days before the exam via email with the test call details.
• The test will take place in the afternoon. Candidates must be present in the Sciences Building at around 14.30 pm. The test will last approximately 3 hours. The exact time of the test will be announced by email to the candidates. The test time schedule will also be available in the Portal miUNAV.
• The test is designed in such a manner that only small calculations will be necessary. It is strictly forbidden to use a calculator.
• Each question has five possible answers to select from.
• Incorrect answers are not counted against you.

Candidates applying to #MedUNAV can know their admission status through the Portal miUNAV.
One of the following admission decisions will be offered:
• Admitted - The students can finalize their enrollment through the miUNAV Portal for the term established and indicated, at the time, by the School of Medicine.
(*) During the period indicated by #MedUNAV, the candidate will have to complete all the required documentation and pay 5,500 euros for the first payment of tuition; this amount will be deducted from the final tuition amount and will only be returned in the case of not passing the university entrance exams, EvAU / EBAU.
• Conditional Admission (IB Students) - Candidates from the International Baccalaureate (IB) must submit their final score in July, which must meet the requirements established by the School of Medicine.
• Waiting list - The candidate must wait for the evolution of enrollments to receive the final admission decision. In these cases, the School of Medicine reserves the option of asking the student for additional academic information with which to reassess the application.
• Admitted in another Degree - The student is not admitted in the requested degree. The student is considered qualified to enroll in another degrees offered by the University of Navarra.
• Denied - The candidate has not been admitted to the requested degree nor is offered a second option.
• No show - The candidate did not show up for the admission exam - The application is automatically denied.
Denied candidates who would like a second consideration by the School of Medicine can make an “instance” in the Portal miUNAV ("Contact / Help" tab). The School of Medicine will review the request.

• To take the exam, students will need an Internet connection, a computer (desktop or laptop) with a webcam, a microphone, and Google Chrome browser installed. Important: some computers include both microphone and webcam; as long as they work, there is no need to acquire new ones.
• Days before the online admission exam set for April 30, 2022, and after the completion of the admission application through the Portal miUNAV, candidates will receive by email the practical and technical instructions necessary to take the test.
• The test will last for three hours and will start at 2:30 p.m. (Madrid local time).
• The exam should be done from a location where a stable Internet connection is ensured.
• During the three hours of the entrance exam, the activity of the test taker will be monitored by means of a program that detects the image, ambient sound, web traffic, and any computer activity. The objective is to guarantee the rigor of the exam and that it is carried out with the maximum guarantees of fairness and justice for all students.
• The content of the test is designed to avoid having to do any mathematical calculation. Therefore, during the exam, the use of a calculator or any other accessory material is prohibited.

IB Students
Students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate (IB) can apply to the School of Medicine at the University of Navarra with their final accredited IB score that must meet the requirements established #MedUNAV.
Candidates applying to #MedUNAV can know their admission status through the Portal miUNAV.
One of the following admission decisions will be offered:
• Admitted - The students can finalize their enrollment through the miUNAV Portal for the term established and indicated, at the time, by the School of Medicine.

We require students to have a B2.2 Spanish level before starting the medical program. If you do not have the language proficiency level, the Medical School can offer you two options to achieve the Spanish level:
• Option 1 – Intensive Summer Program: For students between B2.1 and B2. These students will be required to complete the necessary Intensive Summer Program to achieve a B2.2. before starting the medical program. More information.
• Option 2 – GAP year IFP: For students with less than B2.1. These Students will be required to complete an IFP year. After completing the Medical School’s IFP requirements and achieving the Spanish level of B2.2, the student can start the medical program. The School of Medicine will reserve the student’s place while in the IFP. More information.
