The Faculty of Economics, the first in Spain with the EQUIS accreditation

Only four other Spanish centers, among which IESE is included, have this recognition that supports the quality of business education

The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Navarra has received the academic accreditation EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). It thus becomes the first Spanish faculty to receive this seal of quality granted by the European Foundation for the Development of Administration (EFMD) to educational institutions and business schools for its quality in higher education in business management and administration.

Only four other Spanish centers, among which is the IESE of the University of Navarra, have obtained this accreditation, all the business schools. Besides the IESE, they have also obtained the seal the EADA, ESADE and IE.

"This recognition has been a great satisfaction because it is the result of thirty years of work seeking excellence, service to society and attention to students," said the dean of the Faculty, Ignacio Ferrero. “I want to thank the entire team, the administration and services staff, the academic faculty and the associated professors for the work done”, the dean director.

Academic quality and high degree of internationalization

EQUIS has accredited more than 170 institutions worldwide recognized by academics and business professionals. These centers must demonstrate not only high overall quality in all dimensions of their activities, but also high degree of internationalization.

The seal also recognizes the Faculty of Economics of the University of Navarra for its "high standards of academic quality and its close interaction with the business world, as well as its marked ethical and humanistic character". Similarly, it gives special importance to the creation of a learning environment that favors the development of students' entrepreneurial skills and fosters their sense of global responsibility. It also seeks innovation in all aspects, including program design and teaching.

The Faculty of Economics of the University of Navarra teaches 9 undergraduate, 4 masters and 2 doctoral programs. Regarding research, its publications are indexed in more than 100 international journals and has more than 100 doctoral theses. Likewise, it stands out for internationalization, with 36% of undergraduate students from other countries and 60% postgraduate. It has agreements with 124 universities in 40 countries and 100% of the teaching staff has international experience.
