Andrew, 23; Charmaine, 21; Caitun, 20, are Business students at the National University of Singapore (NUS). After a long trip caused by the cancellation of their flight, they have started their adventure at the University of Navarra.

"The place seems very welcoming to me" describes Andrew, who admits that among his first impressions the Amigos building was what caught his attention the most: "I expected everything to be much older, since European universities are more classic, but I see that this building is very new and modern." In his first visit to Europe, Andrew views his stay in Pamplona as an opportunity to "get to know the culture, make a lot of friends and learn new things." He shares some plans with Charmaine, who will study business in the School of Economics for the next six months. Charmaine describes the University and Pamplona as "a friendly and welcoming place" although the cold has caught them by surprise. Caitun, explains that "we aren't used to such extreme temperatures" compared to the weather in Singapore.

Like Andrew, Charmaine and Caitun, 105 students from 24 countries have been welcomed this week in the School of Economics. The International Relations services, students from the Buddy Program and members of the International Committee of the School of Economics were in charge of the welcoming. For example, Sergio García, from 3rd year of Bilingual Business Administration, who just came back from exchange in Canada, is the buddy of the Ukrainian Markiian Podola; and  Eva Samper, from 2nd year business administration, who is taking care of Tsz Ching Kam, from Hong Kong.

Throughout the week, students from Europe, Asia, the Americas and Oceania will get to know the culture and gastronomy of Navarra, with a tour of Pamplona; a visit to San Sebastián, the 2016 cultural capital of Europe; and go ice skating, among the many different activities organized for both students who continue their exchange here since their arrival in September, as well as for those who have just begun their journey in the School of Economics.
