Resumen:
The Second Vatican Council pays extensive attention to the Old Testament: a chapter of the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum (nn. 14-16) and a section of the Declaration Nostra aetate (n. 4). Among its contributions, the Council highlights the confirmation of great value of the Old Testament itself and the recognition of the fact that the Church received the revelation of the Old Testament through the people with whom God deigned to establish his Covenant, and to whom he keeps himself spiritually unit-ed. It is also pointed out that the culmination of God¿s manifestation is reached in Jesus Christ.
