Inseln als Verdammnis, Abenteuer und Sehnsuchtsorte zu Zeiten der deutschen Trennung in Der Spaziergang von Rostock nach Syrakus

Resumen: Various island topoi as well as the border and space experiences are illustrated in The Walk from Rostock to Syracuse by F.C. Delius using examples from the robinsonade, utopia and the odyssey. It turns out that the feelings and images of insularity presented are conveyed throughout in their ambivalence.
