Scholarships and Financial Aid

The Student Aid Office offers every student that applies information and counselling regarding financial aid, as well as other financial options for university students. Through this service, the University of Navarra intends that nobody with the aptitude to study is unable to do so for economic reasons.

 

Scholarship: Application-based scholarship that covers 30% of the cost of tuition.

 

Recipients: Students admitted to the Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Second Language with a minimum score of a 7 (on a scale from 0 to 10) or a 2 (on a scale from 1 to 4) in their undergraduate degree.

 

Application Period:

- Advance notice:  deadline is February 14, 2021
- Ordinary notice: deadline is April 25, 2021
- Extraordinary notice: deadline is June 20, 2021

Scholarship: The students will teach an extra course (6ECTS/course) during the first and second semester. 

 

Recipients: Applicants for the MA Program in Spanish Second Language Teaching

Amount: €500 / month (Sept-Dec and Jan-Apr)

 

ScholarshipApplication-based scholarship that covers 25% of the cost of tuition.

 

Recipients: European or Latin American students with a minimum score of 7 (on a scale from 0 to 10) or a 2 (on a scale of 1 to 4) in their undergraduate degree.

ScholarshipThe Universidad de Navarra participates in the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program. 

 

RecipientsThe U.S. Department of Education (the Department) lends the money directly to students through the student's school. The university certifies the following loans from the Direct Loan program:

- Subsidized loans
- Unsubsidized Loans
- Plus Loans (parents and graduates may apply)

Chilean Government Scholarships

 

ScholarshipCovers tuition, travel expenses, and other costs (insurance, school supplies, etc.).

 

Recipients: Chilean students that have earned an average grade greater than or equal to a five (5.0) out of a maximum of seven (7.0) or its equivalent in their bachelor’s degree and/or their professional diploma. Recipients can also include Chilean students in the top 30% of their undergraduate class, within their major or the class as a whole.

Scholarship: Preferred credit for Chilean students admitted to the University of Navarra Master’s Program. Itaú Bank will offer the Kit Itaú Personal for the duration of their studies. This consists of a bank account, a line of preferential credit, and a credit and debit card without annual and processing fees.

University of Navarra Alumni Subsidies

Subsidy: 12% discount on the cost of tuition. This discount cannot be added to any other subsidy offered by the University of Navarra. It also cannot be added to the public tuition scholarships (Department of Education, Government of Navarra, or Basque Government), University of Navarra-Santander Group Scholarships, or the scholarships and financial aid that can be granted in certain programs, unless expressly indicated otherwise.
Recipients: University of Navarra alumni.

Large Families
It is necessary to have an updated Large Family Certificate or, in the case of international students, a document proving this condition (which can be a photocopy).
Large family discounts are approximately 8% and 16% for large families in the general or special categories, respectively. These subsidies can be added to the Department of Education Scholarship.

Tuition Subsidies for University Employees’ Children
Recipients:
UNAV employees, their unemployed spouses, and their children, if they are under the charge of the employee at the time of enrollment. Therefore, this excludes married children that live independently of their parents.
Subsidy: 20% in the Master’s Programs (full-time employees).
Deadline and Submission: The form must be filled out and turned into the SDP (Personnel Management Service) to be eligible for any degree desired.
This subsidy cannot be added onto any other from the University of Navarra. It also cannot be added to the public tuition scholarships (Department of Education, Government of Navarra, or Basque Government), University of Navarra-Santander Group Scholarships, or the scholarships and financial aid that can be granted in certain programs, unless expressly indicated otherwise.

Academic Honors Award
The University of Navarra students that are awarded this distinction will receive a 20% discount on enrollment for their first year of graduate studies at the University. This discount cannot be added onto any other from the University of Navarra. It also cannot be added to the public tuition scholarships (Department of Education, Government of Navarra, or Basque Government), University of Navarra-Santander Group Scholarships, or the scholarships and financial aid that can be granted in certain programs, unless expressly indicated otherwise.
