Introduction

¿Qué nos hace diferentes?

The Degree in Architectural Studies is committed to a teaching method that responds to new challenges in architecture, to new times, and to a new social demand.

Therefore, in accordance with the existing local, regional, national, and international opportunities, which the University of Navarra’s academic offer is a part of, and without forgetting a clear commitment to innovation, three specialties have been defined for this degree, all of which are orientated to an enhanced professional experience, and with management-based characteristics in common.

The Degree in Architectural Studies consists of 300 ECTS distributed over 5 academic years of 60 ECTS each. The credits are distributed between basic, compulsory, and elective subjects, as well as a final degree project in the following way:

Basic Subjects: 75 ECTS

Compulsory Subjects: 177 ECTS

Electives: 42 ECTS

Degree Final Project: 6 ECTS

Additionally, the curriculum includes the completion of one of the following specialties:  Specialty in Creative Project Management, Specialty in Urban Project Management, or Specialty in Technical Project Management. All students must complete one of the specialties. Throughout the degree, the student will have a total of 66 ECTS related to the chosen specialty:

15 ECTS of Module 3, Projects. The student will develop projects orientated to one of the three specialties.

9 ECTS of Module 2, Technical. The student is introduced to the integration of the technical aspects of his/her project.

36 ECTS of Module 4, Specialty. The student chooses 36 elective ECTS related to his/her chosen specialty.

6 ECTS of Module 5, Degree Final Project. Orientated to the chosen specialty of the student.

In order to graduate with the degree it is necessary to complete the 300 ECTS defined by the curriculum, as well as to present and defend a Degree Final Project, which is equivalent to 6 ECTS. The title, Graduate of Architectural Studies, provides access to the official Master’s Degree in Architecture, which qualifies one to practice the profession of Architecture in Spain.
