The curriculum of the degree in Management Assistance is extremely varied and combines intensive training in Business Studies, Communication, Languages, Information Management, New Technologies and Personal Development.
These areas are divided into subjects which, in turn, are integrated into modules.
Module I: Business Studies. 66 ECTS.
In this module students acquire the skills needed to work, in the near future, collaborating with management in different types of organizations, mainly private companies, developing cooperation between the different units in the organization, and managing workflows and communication in multicultural environments. They therefore learn to recognize the structure of the company, its way of working and its relationship with the environment. In addition, students are trained to implement existing company legislation and to manage the accounting.
Module II: Communication and Modern Languages. 87 ECTS.
This module provides students with the tools for acquiring a good command of linguistic rules and the key resources which will enable them to function effectively in any situation requiring communication skills, especially in the area of business. Students are also trained to use modern languages (English, French, German) flexibly and effectively for both social and professional purposes. Furthermore, it provides the foundation for effective internal and external corporate communication in international and intercultural contexts.
Module III: Information Management. 27 ECTS.
The module aims to teach students how to access the main sources of information in any format and to manage the documentary circuit in an organization, ensuring the correct location of documents, taking into account legal and ethical aspects and preserving the confidentiality of data. It will also enable them to apply new technologies for business processes and implement advanced management systems in the organization, in addition to providing an up-to-date overview of virtual networks.
Module IV: Personal and Social Education. 18 ECTS.
Students will acquire the competences needed to develop their personality and exercise critical thinking skills in relation to contemporary culture. With this module, in subjects such as Anthropology, Ethics and those included in the area of Keys to Contemporary Culture, students will receive training to promote values such as equality, non-discrimination, and democratic and peaceful coexistence.
Module V: Internships and final project. 30 ECTS.
This module is imparted in the second semester of the fourth year. The aim is to provide students with a period of supervised in-company work practice. During their stay they will gain practical experience in collaboration with management. They will further their knowledge, learn to work in teams and understand the role of support staff within multidisciplinary teams. At the same time, they will develop a final project on a topic of interest that may be related to the management of workflows, communication in multicultural environments or functional cooperation between units in the area of business, among others.
Module VI: Electives. 12 ECTS
The subjects in this module complement the student's training. A number of the credits offered are designed to help students use a second modern language effectively. Other subjects contribute humanistic values, an understanding of how organizations work, etc
