Method of awarding grades

After the oral test

Once students have completed the oral test, and given their presentation on the topic and answered the questions posed by the committee members, the committee will carry out its deliberation process in closed session.

Value of the final grade for the study program

Given that this exam concludes the bachelor's degree, the grade awarded constitutes the final grade for the study program, and the committee therefore calculates it based not only on the oral test, but on the study program as a whole; for that reason, the candidates' academic record is made available to the committee. The degree examination grade is obtained in accordance with the following assessment scale:

Academic record: 60% of the final grade
Oral test: 40% of the final grade
The certificate will only indicate the overall grade.

Numerical grades

The grades on the certificates are numerical, in accordance with the following scale:

  • Fail: from 0 to 4.9 points

  • C: from 5.0 to 6.9 points

  • B: from 7.0 to 8.9 points

  • A: from 9.0 to 10.0 points

A with honors: (which may be awarded to a maximum of 5% of students) requires students to achieve an "A" grade and other relevant academic accomplishments.
The minimum grade required to pass a subject is 5.0
