China has been investing in Africa for a long time. On November 23, we will hold a roundtable where we will talk about Chinese investment in Africa and about the opportunities this continent offers. The conversation will be moderated by our President, Pedro Nueno, who will talk with Juliet and Nana, managers of two Chinese african-based companies.

Online Seminar. Featuring Professor Kent Deng. Prof. Deng will present his working paper  "From state resource allocation to a 'low-level equilibrium trap': re-evaluation of economic performance of Mao's China, 1949-78" (coauthored with  Jim Huangnan).  

Kent Deng is an Economic History Professor in the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is one of the greatest experts in Chinese Economic History worldwide.
