Ana María Casado Molina
Professor in the Department of Economics and Business Administration at the Universidad de Málaga

Dr Ana María Casado Molina is a Professor in the Department of Economics and Business Administration at the Universidad de Málaga. Her teaching, research and professional interests lie in the field of reputation management and corporate communication. Specifically, her research focuses on reputation management and measurement in various fields, including tourism, museums, IBEX 35-listed businesses and, more recently, hospitals. Her research activities have led her to play an active role in programmes, seminars and forums within Spain and abroad, organized by academic and professional bodies such as the Universidade do Algarve, the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Dircom, Corporate Excellence-Centre for Reputation Leadership, Reputation Institute, and CEM.

She has enjoyed an extensive career in marketing and communication management for the ICT and cultural industries, and has also worked as a consultant. Career highlights include research and consultancy projects in the field of corporate reputation, where she collaborated with organizations such as the Corporate Excellence Foundation, the Andalusian Public Company for the Management of Tourism and Sport, and Rotterdam School of Management. Other achievements include her work as Co-Director of the Chair of Metrics and Management of Intangibles at the Universidad de Málaga, where she set up the Corporate Reputation and Intangibles Observatory; her development of a conceptual and methodological model for the management of intangibles in online environments; and her contribution to the Observatory’s periodic publications, namely the Reports on Intangible Assets in Digital Ecosystems (INTED).

Ana María’s current research focus, which is also relevant to the classes she will teach on the Cultural Sponsorship programme, is museums’ online and offline reputation. Additionally, she is working with Professor Cees Van Riel from Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and professors from the Universidad de Málaga to finalize a study on management's perception of sponsor relationships with museums.
