Researchers from the University present academic papers on character education in Latin America at international conferences
They have participated in activities held in Oxford (United Kingdom), San Luis (USA), Murcia and Sevilla

Members of the “Researching and Promoting Character Education in Latin America Secondary Schools” project of the University of Navarra presented their research at four international conferences in Oxford (UK), St.Louis (USA), Murcia and Sevilla.
The project is under the joint direction of the School of Education and Psychology and the Institute for Culture and Society of the University of Navarra. It receives funding from the Templeton World Charity Foundation.
Daniel Moulin-Stozek gave a presentation on “A social theory of virtue and its implications for character education” at the 43rd Meeting of the Association for Moral Education, which was held November 2-4, 2017 in St. Louis (USA).
Concepción Naval and Ángel Sobrino participated in the X International Annual Conference on Education, Research and Innovation (ICERI), which took place in Sevilla November 16-18. They presented a poster on “An exploratory Delphi study on character education in Latin American countries: Argentina, Colombia and Mexico,” as well as gave a talk entitled, “How do high school students in Mexico perceive self-discipline?”
Moreover, the team virtually presenteda talk on “Researching and promoting character education for a new citizenship”at the XIV International Conference on Educational Theory, which took place at the University of Murcia from November 21-23.
In addition, Concepción Naval and Apolinar Varela will present at the Jubilee Center for Character and Virtues’ 6th Annual Conference. The center is part of the University of Birmingham (United Kingdom). It will take place January 4-6, 2018 in Oxford and is entitled, “Virtues in the public sphere.” They will give a talk on “Reflections on an educational program for secondary schools in morals, civic virtues and values: A case study in Mexico.”
