Three ICS research projects funded by the Caja Navarra Foundation
Two of them belong to the 'Education of Human Affectivity and Sexuality' and the third to the Navarra Center for International Development
Three research projects from the Institute for Culture and Society at the University of Navarra Institute have been selected to be funded by the Fundación Caja Navarra, within the call for aid Ayudas para la Promoción de la Investigación y el Desarrollo.
Two of these projects belong to the research group ‘Education of Human Affectivity and Sexuality'. Silvia Carlos Chillerón, professor at the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra will lead the research project under the title ‘Comportamientos sexuales de riesgo tras un resultado VIH negativo en el Consejo y Diagnóstico Voluntario de VIH (CDV): estudio de su frecuencia y de los posibles factores determinantes en una población congoleña residente en Kinshasa (RDCongo)' and, Jokin de Irala Professor of Preventive Medicine and ICS researcher will head the research project ‘Promoción socio-ecológica de la salud sexual de los adolescentes navarros.'
Pedro Mendi, researcher at the Navarra Center for International Development will also receive funding for his research project presented jointly with Fundación Moderna under the title ‘Transferencia del Plan Moderna a Países en Desarrollo.'
Besides these, another 13 projects of the School of Architecture and the schools of Sciences, Medicine, Economics and Pharmacy at the University of Navarra have also achieved in getting funded. Activities benefited from the Fundación Caja Navarra fall in the areas of social welfare, research and development, culture and sport. There is a total of 3.6 million Euros.
