Professors and guest lecturers
The Master of Social Science Research will be taught by University professors, both from the Institute for Culture and Society and from the different schools involved in the program.
In addition, the master's program will invite some professors from outside of the University, including internationally recognized foreign professors in the areas of sociology, social theory of culture, political science, nursing, etc.
Some facts about the program's professors:
95% of the professors have earned a PhD.
The faculty has 39 professors, 34 of which are full-time. They are divided into the following academic categories: 12.8% are full professors, 41.1% are professors, 20.5% are associate professors, 12.8% are adjunct professors (mostly full-time ICS researchers) and 12.8% are visiting professors (external to the University).
Teaching experience: 27% of the program's professors has over 20 years experience in fields with a social science component (education, medicine, nursing, philosophy, communication, law, economics), 40.5% of the professors have over 15 years, 20% have over 10 years, and 12.5% have more than 5 years.
Research experience: 70.9% of the MSSR faculty has over 15 years of research experience in social science fields relevant to the program. An additional 16.6% has more than 10 years of experience.
Area of expertise: Professors conduct research in fields directly related to the MSSR curriculum.
