Activities Organized by the School

  • Science Week: Each year, in the month of November, the School participates in a nationwide event in Spain to bring science closer to the public in general and to students in particular. The main activities include lectures, Hands-On Chemistry workshops, organized visits to the Museum of Natural Sciences and the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), and a University Orientation Workshop for high school students.

  • World Environment Day: To commemorate this annual event, the School and the group of Environment Volunteers take specimens from their Museum of Natural Sciences to the streets of Pamplona on a Saturday in June and hold environmental education workshops for children that include drawings, cutouts, beaded animal figurines, observation of animals under magnifying glasses, etc. This activity is organized in conjunction with the Pamplona Municipal Government and is sponsored by Caja Rural de Navarra.

  • Science Olympics: The School organizes the regional phases of the Biology Olympics and Chemistry Olympics, the latter with the  Colegio Oficial de Químicos de Aragón y Navarra and the Universidad Pública de Navarra.

  • Annually, the School organizes continuing education courses in laboratory practices for teachers of Biology and Chemistry in secondary schools.
