200 cancer experts from across the globe will meet through Wednesday in a meeting organized by the Clinic of the Universidad de Navarra and CIMA.
Nearly 200 researchers from around the world will gather from around the globe from today until Wednesday, October 7th, in the 2nd International Frontiers in Oncology Congress. The symposium will focus on "The present and the future of the RAS method: from the function to inhibition of the genome"
The RAS oncogenes are intimately related with the appearance and development of certain kinds of most common types of cancer."An oncogene is a kind of gene that is found alongside the appearance of tumors and where we think that may be one of the keys for combating cancer" explains Dr. Ignacio Gil Bazo, co-director of the Department of Oncology of the University of Navarra Clinic and one of the organizers of this international event.
The science meeting, that will take place in the Museum of the University of Navarra, is organized by the University of Navarra Clinic, the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), and integrates both the Navarra Institute of Health Research (IDISNA), and the Stanford Cancer Center in the United States.
