The VI Annual Meeting of the Institute for Culture and Society will focus on the social projection of research. It will take place on November 17 in the ICS Auditorium.

After opening remarks, a round table will be held with Juan Carlos Prieto, director of the Santa María la Real Foundation for Historic Heritage and Jaime Nuño, director of the Romanesque Studies Center, as well as Leopoldo Gil, an architect with the Government of Navarra’s Prince of Viana Institution. Julia Pavón Benito, director of the Department of History, Art History and Geography at the University of Navarra, will act as moderator.

Afterwards, the researchers will work in groups on an activity related to the meeting’s theme, followed by presentations on the conclusions that each group reaches.

The Foundation

The Santa María la Real Foundation for Historic Heritage promotes the conservation, restoration, promotion and dissemination of cultural, natural and social heritage assets nationally and internationally.

According to Ana Marta Gonzalez, ICS’s scientific coordinator, the invited guests will share their experience with the center’s researchers in areas such as interaction with public institutions and/or private initiative for local development, exploration of possible European projects and different dissemination initiatives.

"They are a benchmark for the enhancement of cultural wealth in order to generate research with international projection and promote social development in our surroundings," Gonzalez noted.
