Resumen:
The present article tries to make a brief revision of some texts in which Jose Pellicer becames an object of mockery for his contemporaries. The purpose is to arrange the aspects that mantain the derision: Pellicer's conceit and lack of knowledge, the supossed cases of plagiarism, etc. The analysis can lead to considerations about the use of mockery, its organization and functions in the literary controversies.
