Resumen:
This article studies the perplexing and problematic denouements of three important comedias of Ruiz de Alarcon (La crueldad por el honor, La amistad castigada, El dueno de las estrellas). The explanations and interpretative orientations offered by the dramatic texts do not align with the general action and behavior of the characters. An analysis of the endings shows some flaws in the dramatic coherence of these plays
