The Christological teaching of the Second Council of Constantinople (553) was a response to the theological discussion prompted by the Chalcedonian horos (451). The article analyses the Christological teaching of the Council on the basis of three expressions used by the Fathers of Constantinople II (kata synthesin, kath'hypostasin, and in theoria mone). The author argues that the category of mesites (mediator) is the key to understanding the mystery of Christ. Here, Christ the Mediator should be understood both in an ontological and a soteriological sense.

Then, the spiritual consequences of the crisis are presented, first of all the impact of isolation on interpersonal relationships and the potential effects it may have on a people¿s ability to be open to transcendence. Finally, on the base of the Catholic social teaching, postulates are formulated regarding the necessary modifications in the lifestyle and principles of the global economy, so that the drama of the pandemic may become an opportunity for greater humanization and a step on the way to conversion of human society

While theology and canon law have much in common, some degree of mutual misunderstanding is not unheard of. Theologians are wary of excessively legalistic approaches to Christian reality among canon lawyers. The latter, in turn, are suspicious of 'pastoral sensitivities' in the interpretation of laws by theologians, which may compromise justice or the rights of the faithful. This article explores the issues from a theological point of view and reflects critically on four aspects that affect both theology and canon law: object, systematicity, normativity and the principle of autonomy. Finally, it presents a potential intersection point for theology and canon law in how salus animarum is understood.

Theology has to face the permanent challenge of presenting the human and divine dimensions of the Christian mystery in the most integrated way possible. This difficulty is sometimes solved, either by canceling one of the two elements (usually the divine, but also sometimes the human) or by establishing a lethal separation between them. This polarity could be seen throughout the history, especially in the study of Christ's person and mission. To overcome the separation that breaks the unity or the unity that eradicates diversity, this article presents Christ as the mediator. Starting from the Scripture and examining the teaching of the Fathers and the theologians, the mediator is introduced as an integrating agent that serves the whole theology.

La aventura del conocimiento, en toda su amplitud, tiene en el símbolo del vuelo una representación muy adecuada. Hegel comparó el conocimiento con el vuelo que el búho emprende entre dos luces, cuando el día declina. San Juan Pablo II, por parte, habló de las dos alas del conocimiento que son la fe y la razón. El mito de Ícaro alude a este vuelo que se sirve de alas frágiles pero que, si se utilizan con prudencia y fidelidad a la luz que se nos ofrece, son capaces de trasladarnos a un conocimiento más extenso y profundo de la realidad. En los capítulos de este libro se abordan algunas cuestiones fundamentales relacionadas con las dos alas de la fe y de la razón: el conocimiento, la verdad, la religión, la increencia, los misterios cristianos, el lenguaje sobre Dios, la conversión, etc. Va dirigido especialmente a los estudiantes de teología y a quienes deseen profundizar teológicamente en la fe cristiana

Los desafíos que presenta la transmisión de la fe en nuestro tiempo hacen especialmente necesarias tres actitudes: estar bien pertrechados de los fundamentos de "nuestra esperanza"; renovar el compomiso de testigos del Evangelio; ser audaces en la tarea común de la evangelización. La obra proporciona información y análisis de las bases teológicas de la transmisión de la fe.

La mediación de Cristo ha ocupado un lugar significativo en las diversas cristologías. Esta obra se propone ampliar el esquema salvífico de la mediación de Cristo y mostrar que la mediación se halla presente en su propio ser, en el que se encuentra lo humano y lo divino. El Mediador, Cristo Jesús, despliega su acción en la misión salvadora.

La esperada magna obra en homenaje al Profesor Santiago del Cura Elena, gran teólogo que durante muchos años ha ejercido su docencia en la Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca y en la Facultad de Teología de Burgos! Gli Atti del XIX Colloquio di Teologia Morale "Azione umana e salvezza divina. La dinamica operativa della grazia come superamento del neo-pelagianesimo" del novembre 2019 sviluppano, a partire dalla Lettera Placuit Deo, il modo in cui "appare, nella vita di Gesù, una mirabile sinergia dell'agire divino con l'agire umano" (n. 9). È così che la Congregazione per la Dottrina della Fede indica un cammino per comprendere il necessario superamento di un nuovo pelagianesimo che minaccia culturalmente la comprensione della vita cristiana. La colpisce in un punto centrale: la sua dimensione di salvezza, costituendo così un enorme ostacolo all'evangelizzazione nel campo della morale. La dinamica del dono di Dio, che ci rivela la grandezza della nostra vocazione in Cristo, costituisce quindi la struttura stessa del Colloquio che si articola in tre parti.
