Architect from the University of Navarra (2002), specialist in Restoration and Refurbishment of Architecture (2002) and PhD Architect (2008) with a thesis entitled `Program and Model of documented process of research directed to the technological innovation in the of façade systems. Application to the Netherlands Embassy in Berlin, by OMA-Rem Koolhaas'. I have developed my teaching and research career in the Department of Construction, Services and Structures in the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. I am a member of SAVIArquitectura research group. I teach on Construction and Building Materials in the degree in Architecture, as well as in the Master's degree in Environmental Management and Buildings Design (MDGAE) where I am also in charge of Master's Thesis Projects. My research interests focus on Building Materials and their Life Cycle Assessment, especially in reference to their use in envelopment systems, and their approach to rehabilitation and cultural heritage. I have participated in research projects related to these topics: Construction and monitoring of a prototype of a thermoelectricity conditioning system applied to an inhabited space (2010-2011), Computer support tools for the study of construction systems of innovative facades (2009-2012), CONCLIMAT-Industrialization of bioclimatic low-cost housing (2007-2012), Energy-social model of residential buildings built in 1940/1980, efficient rehabilitation in Pamplona (2014-2015). In the field of Cultural Heritage, my research is enhanced by professional work as a specialist architect. Since 2006 I manage, together with the architect Verónica Quintanilla, an office exclusively dedicated to conservation and restoration of architectural heritage. I have carried out outstanding interventions in the cultural heritage of Navarre, like the Action Plan for the Fortifications of Pamplona (Europa Nostra 2012 award), Restoration of the Facade of Pamplona Cathedral (project funded by Fundación Caja Madrid), several interventions in the walls of Pamplona, the medieval bridge of Aoiz, or the palaces of Equísoain, Olza and Arce. Currently, I also participate in the management of the University, being Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, Services and Structures. I am part of the MDGAE's board of management as Academic Coordinator of Building Materials Management and Management for other environmental aspects, and I have been a member of the Quality Assurance Committee of the School of Architecture. Since 2019 I am an active member of ICOMOS Spain.
